It steps you through a process that checks each of the sensors and actuators, injectors etc. that interface with the ECU. I think all of the checks use merely a dvom, or MOde 2 of the ecu self diags. I dont know about you, but running back and forth to parts shops not really knowing whats wrong is frustrating and wastes money. If that is too much for you, you might go to a mechanic who knows these cars and probably save money in the long run. Ferd
